BAPTISTE HILBERT ORIGINATES FROM ARLON, A SMALL TOWN IN BELGIUM LOCATED CLOSE TO THE BORDER WITH LUXEMBOURG.

Upon completing his secondary school education, he decided to pursue his passion for dance at a professional level, studying for three years at the Epsedanse dance school in Montpellier (France).

He then continued his training in England, as part of Verve13, the postgraduate company of the Northern School of Contemporary Dance in Leeds (UK).

He completed his studies at the Ballet Junior de Genève (Switzerland). Here, over the course of one year, he appeared in various well-known repertory works of choreography.

Throughout his training, Baptiste Hilbert nurtured a particular interest in choreographic creation. Together with Catarina Barbosa (PT), he co-founded the AWA - As We Are - Company, with which he produced his first creative work, As You Want, in 2016. The following year, he presented a solo piece, With My Eyes, for the dancer Catarina Barbosa.

Following the production of these two short pieces, he collaborated with Catarina in staging their first long-format creation, SHOOT THE CAMERAMAN, which has won the support of numerous international organisations. 

In the interim, Baptiste continues to perform on a freelance basis for other companies.
